The northern section from Kalamunda (Perth) to Dwellingup was one of the best sections. It passed mainly through jarrah forest which is often rather scrappy in appearance (it has been heavily logged) but there are some scenic areas, some interesting peaks to climb and an excellent variety of wildflowers.
