SRAM uses “Yaw” to describe the action of the RED 22 front derailleur because it actually rotates a few degrees as it moves from the small chainring to the large. The design makes for a significant improvement in the quality of front shifting when compared to a conventional front derailleur, plus, it eliminates the need for a trimming function.
