Are TEIN flex a coilovers good?
They aren’t too harsh and are a great intro to coilovers if you are new to the coilover game. These are perfect for the daily driver and are not necessarily for you if you are looking to race your car. The Flex Z handles really well, they aren’t too stiff, and overall, they drive nice.
How long do Tein Flex last?
They replied all their Coilovers are built to last 50,000 – 75,000 miles before a rebuild is necessary.

How do you stiffen Tein Flex Z coilovers?
You can adjust damping force with the adjustment dial, or click, on the shock absorber. Turning it clockwise, the end is level 0 (zero): the stiffest. Turning it counterclockwise from there, the damping force becomes softer. You can notice a click at each level.

Are TEIN coilovers rebuildable?
Once rebuilt, TEIN will ship your freshly built dampers to you and you’ll be back on the road in no time. As for my Civic coilovers, they were re-valved for more street comfort and are good for a light day of track use. TEIN services only their products to ensure a quality rebuild.

How do I know what TEIN coilovers I have?
TEIN stamps each spring with a part number to properly identify it. Their stamping follows the spring in a smooth fashion. Above you can see how the counterfeit fake spring is stamped in a very careless way. And last but not least, you can see the real TEIN springs use a label that fits inside of a green outlined box.
Are TEIN Flex Z coilovers rebuildable?
The Flex Z have a sealed structure, and thus are not rebuildable. This is part of Tein’s new production approach to reduce manufacturing costs and thus lower the final price of the coilovers.
Is Tein Flex Z Made in Japan?
As their most popular top-of-the-line coilover, the TEIN Flex Z Coilovers are still made in Yokohama Japan and are a true JDM coilover system packed with all of TEIN’s technology. This system incorporates the 16 way adjustable twin tube shocks and includes TEIN top mounts.
Does Tein Flex Z have camber adjustment?
FLEX Z kit includes upper mounts exclusively designed for each vehicle model; either reinforced rubber mounts or pillow ball mounts. Pillow ball upper mounts for front strut suspensions have camber adjustment feature. (Some vehicle models use OE dust boots.)
