The Foreign Credentialing Commission on Physical Therapy (FCCPT) is a non-profit organization that evaluates the credentials of foreign-educated physical therapists and physical therapist assistants (FEPTs), and issues Health Care Worker Certificates to those who wish to immigrate and/or work in the United States.

Application process for all applicants

  1. All applications are completed online. FCCPT no longer accepts paper applications.
  2. Once the application and online payment are submitted, you will be given a file number. Please record your file number, as this is required to access your file.

Does Fccpt expire?

Health Care Workers Certificates are valid for five (5) years from the date issued. The earliest you can apply for this service is six (6) months prior to your certificate expiration date. A certificate can be renewed after it has expired.

You may request a change of your service within five (5) business days of submission of the application. To change your service, you must download, complete, and mail or fax the Change of Service Form to FCCPT. There is a service fee for changing a service after five (5) business days from submission of your application.

FCCPT accepts Mastercard and Visa only. Please have your payment ready at the time of application. If a payment is not made at the time of application, you will have to restart the application. We do not create a file or save information from incomplete applications.

How old does TOEFL score have to be for fccpt?

FCCPT’s Institution Code is 8164, and the department is Undergraduate. Important: Educational Testing Service (ETS) will not report TOEFL scores that are more than two (2) years old. Once FCCPT receives the official score report from TOEFL, it is valid for five (5) years after the original test date.

How long does it take to get a refund from the fccpt?

Refunds are completed within thirty (30) days. There will be no refund for a withdrawal after five (5) business days. If you subsequently reapply for the service, the full fee will be required at that time. You may request a change of your service within five (5) business days of submission of the application.
