Very reliable and good on gas, and fun to drive at speeds under the speed limit. One of the best handling cars I’ve ever driven, on par with cars that cost twice as much. Definitely would recommend to someone wanting a sporty daily or a fun handling car. Also a great platform for modifications and originality.

The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. The code will have a C/TR in front of it. A typical code will look like C/TR: 1D4/FH13, and 1D4 would be the color code in this example.

Is Scion tC faster than FR-S?
The Scion tC packs 179 horsepower and 172lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the front wheels via a standard 6-speed manual transmission or an optional 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The FRS is the quicker car overall, but the tC definitely offers more pop when leaving the starting line.
Are there any special editions of the Scion FR-S?
As with the FR-S, there continued to be limited edition models including the 2017 “860 Special Edition” that featured unique exterior styling and the 2019 TRD Special Edition. For 2018, an “86 GT” model was added to the lineup with improved creature comforts over the standard car but with the same mechanical specs.

With the Scion brand phased out prior to the 2017 model year, the FR-S became known as the Toyota 86 in North America, and the car also received a refresh.
