Can you be emo and goth?
Can you be a mix of both emo and goth? You can be part of two subcultures at the same time, but they still stay their separate things. There’s no “emo goth” subculture, for example. The goth kids at my school have hooked up with the emo kids.

How do you know if you are emo?
Basically, the emo style is very similar to punks or goths. Characteristic for the emo style is a long, slanting fringe, most often covering the face. The hair is most often black or white (or a combination of the two). When it comes to makeup, it is pale and the eyes are heavily emphasized.
